All new employees are provided with ongoing training so that they can competently perform all necessary maintenance tasks. Employees take a mandatory plant ID and pruning seminar that is given by an experienced member of our team. Continuing education is strongly encouraged, and incentives are provided for successful completion of all horticultural related courses. Meridian subsidizes the expense of taking such courses. Meridian's staff turnover is low, and the majority of our general staff have been with the company for several years.
Meridian has five supervisors, all of whom have considerable knowledge of horticulture and landscape maintenance. Our supervisors are all extremely professional and approachable and continuously work with clients to provide the quality service that they are looking for. All supervisors are encouraged and supported by the company to complete the Landscape Industry Certified Technician program.
Tim is entering his 8th year with Meridian Landscaping and has over 14 years experience in the horticulture industry. He has completed the Residential Landscape Technician program, as well as the Certified Horticultural Technician certification program (CHT). Tim also has a diploma in Horticulture and Integrated Pest Management from the University College of the Fraser Valley. Tim is currently pursuing a diploma in Operations Management from BCIT.
